Jumping forward a week, because we do what we want, the editors will bring you a short description of Flynn and Ollie’s time in Cody, WY.
Yellowstone, duh.
Having visited Cody in 2020, and having adored it, they made the out-of-the-way trek back to this historical touristy destination. The thing about Cody is that A) It is stunningly beautiful B) It is close to Yellowstone C) It has a rodeo nightly which leads to D) lots of cowboys/cowgirls and horses all over the place and E) It is clean and well-kept, even in the outskirts of the tourist corridor.
The RV park of choice was centered 25 miles between the east entrance to Yellowstone and Cody, in the ‘town’ of Wapiti. Blink. They spent 7 days there, just sort of soaking up the views and overall calming ambiance of the area. They experienced 80-degree temps, thunderstorms, wind, and sun – all daily. They shared happy hour with one of their neighbors, chatted up the locals at the Cody Steak House, and bought locally sourced meat from the butcher, did laundry, and of course went to the rodeo.
One day was spent in Yellowstone. There they did a 7-mile hike, visited the rangers, conversed with some buffalo, and oohed & ahhed about the sheer beauty of the place. It is truly amazing. Words cannot describe it, so here you go:
Random Cody pictures below. Frankly, the staff photographer was more into the experience than doing the job, so there isn’t much. Sorry, not sorry.
Westward ho, off we go to more parts unknown. Reno, NV in a week so there might be poker posts, for all you degens.
