Flynn & Ollie touched down in LV on a Sunday afternoon. It was not raining, it was not cold, and it was not gray. Mission accomplished.

An hour later, a hefty tip in place, we were ensconced in the hotel room with a fabulous view of the the fountains, the strip, the north valley and the east valley. Extra hangers, robes, and dishware delivered. Mission accomplished.

Despite having had so much happy-happy so far, they were strung out, tired, hungry and thirsty. Travel is not easy out of the PNW – traffic and SeaTac make for a long day. There was no food nor beverages in the room, NO COFFEE in the room, and Ollie was getting hangry. Off to In & Out for the (likely) one and only time this trip before hitting the grocery store to stock up on provisions. Back to the room, items in the fridge to last several days, and bam! Down for a 2 hour nap. Mission accomplished.

If you don’t know what F&O did upon waking, then you don’t read enough of this blog.

A quick stroll to the Aria, renew the player’s cards, and 15 minutes later Flynn and Ollie were seated at separate 1/3 NL tables. Mission accomplished.

Flynn got lost in the casino. We found him laying on the bar. It was traumatic, but another joyful reunion when he was found (he does this often). Flynn made friends with the out-of-control group of Venetian tournament players on their last night in town (they had whiffed) who had decided to play it all like it was their last day on Earth. Ollie had a calmer table, numerous adult beverages, and an equal amount of winning/losing hands. By 1 am, Flynn decided it was time to try to get sleepy, so he began doing shots with his table-mates before just before racking it up. BTW, a big tip to the beverage server will get you a quad shot of Patron with your pineapple juice. Don’t tell anyone. Mission accomplished.

Hitting the sack at 0230-ish made F&O feel like they were home again. Zero complaints. Mission accomplished.

Who wants hand-breakdowns, player profiles, and snarky opinions during this trip? Cause, we can do that too…
