Monday: (we only mention this to remind ourselves, as it is so easy to lose track of days when one is a drunk, poker playing degenerate).
After a leisurely morning (okay, to afternoon) in the room, recovering from the night before, Flynn headed over to the Bellagio via the shortcut, which took him through the back service roads, the parking garage via a locked door (don’t ask), and finally out near the Conservatory. Instead of making a beeline for Bobby’s Room, he took some time to admire the decor.
Where is Ollie, you ask? He is at the Orleans, playing some O8 with the regs, a favorite of his. Flynn prefers to play at venues without promotions, and less smoke, dirt, and crankiness so he generally plays on the strip. This works out well, so that F & O don’t fight over pots when they are at the same table.
After the tour of the back of the B and the Conservatory, Flynn gets to the poker room. It is very busy for a Monday, likely even busier than if there were no pandemic. There are lots of bigger games (Flynn does not have that bankroll) and big names in the room. It’s only 1 pm ish ~ crazy. Flynn gets on a 1/3 NL table right away, and off we go.
Bored by raising the nits pre-flop and driving them to even higher levels of crankiness, Ollie made his way to the B, and played for about an hour. He took not one, not two, but three severe beats, so F&O decided to call it, and made their way to Dirt Dog for a nutritious dinner. The night was beautiful, and the city was begging for a stroll then a cocktail and dessert at Mon Ami Gabi to watch the local wildlife and the B fountains. Despite the ‘must make reservations’ rule in effect, F&O were seated at the premier table outside without one, where they spent the next two hours. The lack of traffic on the strip made it even better for unobstructed views. Not even billboard trucks were in sight. Glorious.
Flynn and Ollie fleetingly considered a short session at the Aria after that, but considering their state of being, opted instead for enjoying the amenities of the hotel room. In other words, they passed out.

What an incredible view! It’s sad there are so few people, but enjoy no crowds, leisurely strolls and unobstructed views while you can. Thanks for sharing!
