Wednesday (our friendly reminder to self). F&O are having a difficult time remembering exactly what they did. Yeah: When they finally left the temporary nest, they ventured out to the remote areas of the desert to look at housing options for the future. (FYI, Bunkerville is off the list.) Didn’t purchase anything, but thought about it a lot. The drive back was stunning. Ya’ll have absolutely mind-blowing sunsets here in the desert. Turns out the NSP frowns upon stopping in the median to take pix, so sorry, none available this blog either.

Back in the big city, Flynn and Ollie hit Chicago Joe’s for dinner. This is a small Italian restaurant on the lower level of a house in downtown LV, and it is a true gem. 100% legit. No one but the locals would go there, cause tourists stick to the man drags. Service is basic, it ain’t fancy. It’s just damn good food. Flynn is getting hungry just thinking about the chicken parm (not breaded) and the meatballs.

Finally, the bird and otter make it to a poker table. Location of choice this time was the Venetian. They had a tournament in progress, and a short list for the cash games (not very many tables). F&O hung out about 15 minutes before they started a new 1/3 NL table, and off it went. Flynn and Ollie were seated at the same table. Yes, a flipper-beak fight nearly broke out on the drive home. Honestly, it’s a bad-bad idea for them play together, unless it’s drunk poker, of course. There was probably some promotion going on, but F&O don’t even try to hit them. They just play for pots. The table was varied ~ there were 2 higher-stakes players awaiting seats in 2/5, who moved out quickly, There were two rookies playing for the 1st time, not at a home game or online, who tilted the experienced players when they ‘lucked’ into a winning hand. There were the average folk, playing standard ABC poker. It was uneventful.

Flynn has been watching too much high-stakes poker on-line. He bought his chips at the cage before joining the table, and decided he would be a baller, and get a few extra blacks so he wouldn’t have to whip out cash to re-buy. Image is everything right? None of the big players pull out cash, they pull out chips. Flynn wants to be cool.

He didn’t need to re-buy, went to cage, cashed out, and arrived back at the hotel before remembering he had blacks he didn’t cash out. Baller, right?

Keep reading daily, it may or may not get more interesting.
