Top Story and the First Story

Flynn and Ollie set out to have yet another great poker adventure. Of course, no poker adventure is complete without first stopping for some much needed nourishment. Therefore, it was Don Juan’s Mexican Kitchen for a brewski and a shared cheesy steak shrimp bowl. Homemade tortillas and salsa rounded out the lunch. BTW, we were the guinea pigs for the salsa, which just about burned our fur and feathers off. I think they will be adjusting the recipe a bit for future patrons.
Onwards to Little Creek Casino, where we dutifully donated our 4 cans of food for the food bank, registered for the 7pm tournament, and sat down to play some 4/8 LH (with a full kill).
Nailed it. 10 minutes in, Flynn hits a straight flush for both the Monte Carlo and the high hand to the tune of some extra dough. But wait.. next hour… yep, Flynn the Fabulous Flamingo hit another high hand for some more green. Flynn and Ollie cash out and move to the 1/3 NLHE game (I mean, clearly we were far to good for the 4/8 game, right?)
Fast forward to 7 pm: Ollie makes some moolah, and Flynn cashes out a tish ahead if you count the Monte Carlo dough (meaning no love on the 1/3 game) and we move on to the tournament.
Can’t beat the luck-boxes, both go out before the 2nd break hits and we call it a night. It is too embarrassing to say where we stopped for dinner (let’s just say it was freaky fast). Full bellies, full wallets, and a pleasant evening was had by all.
