Twitter taught Flynn something new (rare occurrence) today. Sadly, it was not earth shattering, nor is it likely to be used much in the avian world. But, Flynn does feel a little more ‘with it’ (as opposed to wasted), similar to when he figured out what various abbreviations mean such as “SMH”. SMH stumped the bird for a long time, and looking it up online would have been cheating ~ Flynn hates cheating. Bird brain worked it out on his own.

Second example : “Ham and eggers” was some odd-ball term that caused twitter-pation-ignorance. F & O kinda like ham and eggs for breakfast; does that mean they are ham and eggers? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?
Flynn had to go down the Kevin Mathers (@Kevmath) rabbit-twitter hole to get the answer. The meaning was a little disappointing, especially to anyone that loves ham and eggs. For reals, smoked salmon eggs Benedict is more up the bird’s alley, yet at times the F&O may feel a little h & eggy. It’s hard to be fabulous, above average, and imaginative all the time. Unless you are Ollie. Flynn needs another cocktail. Hang on.

K, to get to the new, hip learning that F encountered today on Twitter : “NPC” . Don’t laugh, especially if you are a gamer. Flynn is not, and had no reason to encounter this abbreviation. Ollie dabbles, and probably knows it in context of shooter-sci-fi-adventure-on-line game mumbo jumbo. (Eyes glazing over.) Despite trying to put the letters in context during someone’s rant, Flynn just couldn’t do it. Spoiler alert! Tried and tried, but finally gave up and cheated. Now, dear readers, we shall assume you are all far cooler than Flynn and therefore know the other urban dictionary meaning of NPC ~ the one the Twitter rant was all about. It was like every other rant: someone’s political views. The meaning is not really the point. The point is that some stupid abbreviation, taken from on-line gaming terminology has morphed into a human descriptor that us ham & eggers have to look up to figure out. Is Flynn better off knowing this? Nope. Not much on the Twitter is really worth knowing. But, Flynn knows it now and is somewhat hipper than he was before. This calls for a drink.

Fin for now. Flynn
