Since I was graciously allowed to voice my opinion last time in this forum, I wanted to do a follow-up on the topic. Followers of Daniel Negreanu’s Vlog have been given a good hard look at his new bride, @RadioAmanda, Amanda Negreanu nee Leatherman. Yep, she is smokin’. If I were a guy, I’d watch his Vlog for her alone: not afraid to be in front of a camera, has landed poker’s most eligilble & wealthy, is witty, and she smiles a lot. What’s not to hate for a ‘Middle Aged Poker Player Average Looking Female’?
Now before y’all go thinking ‘Girl Crush’ on me, the answer is no. MAPPALF is happily married (to a guy) and has no designs on either her or Daniel. To be painfully honest, I did not WANT to like her. Just get through the portions with her in it, about newly married life and get to the WSOP portion already went through my mind while watching. Until ….
She popped out with the comment about not wanting to play a women’s event because they are mean. Wait, what? It’s not just me? Women at the poker table are mean to you as well? Sister, we are soon to be besties.
While I know it is not her job, and I don’t know squadoosh (sorry Norman) about her personal life, I really hope Amanda continues to endear herself to the poker world, and has enough influence to change some mean-girl minds. And, please, please, please be kind & welcoming if/when I meet you in person. I would hate to be disappointed.
